Sweet Details I love a few of the articles which have been written, and especially the comments posted! I am going to come back!
Impressive blog. My co-workers and I were just talking about this the other evening. Also your blog looks good on my old blackberry. Now thats uncommon. Nice work.
The most important part of reading a book, for me, is to be drawn in, almost from the start. Some authors are capable of doing this regularly but others seem to struggle, and that is when reading becomes almost a chore. Blackout is effortless and is in my opinion a fantastic example of a book that draws you in, making you thirsty for more. A feeling of knowing the characters early on is also another appealing aspect of Blackout -cannot wait for more of this novel!
Hi, I came across your work because it popped up as a side ad or something in facebook.
I liked the writing. I’m never completely sure about putting internal voices in italics but you seem to be able to make it work. I tend to mix the internal thoughts in with everything else so I have to use other tags to indicate that, and I can’t say that is any easier or better. Anyway. I’ve made a note of the site and I’ll read some more when I can.
I am fascinated by the naked reading bit. I do a fair bit of naked writing and naked gardening for that matter. We live in a very secluded old farmhouse, so it works OK.
Your valley in the book feels a bit like where my Dad was born – Treherbert I’ve only been there a couple of times, but it seemed to have the same sort of feel as you have produced in your writing.
i’d be interested to know how you get on with the self publishing, I tried printing some copies of my most recent book on Blurb, it came out OK, though there were some printing errors that weren’t there in what I sent.
At the moment I have just put my latest revision on Authonomy – I don’t know if you have looked at that, it is a route to some feedback of sorts.
Anyway – enough from me and good luck.
